Demand for AI-generated technical explainer videos
Problem
Users want to quickly and cheaply convert technical text (e.g., PRs, docs, articles) into editable explainer videos, but current tools are either slow, expensive, or lack editing flexibility.
Pain points
- Rapid generation of explainer videos for technical documentation/PRs
- Low-cost (≈ $0.04) video production
- AI-assisted editing for fast micro‑adjustments
Questions to verify
- Whether businesses or individuals would be willing to pay for such videos?
- Which type of technical content (PRs, docs, articles) users prefer for video format?
- What tolerance do users have for video quality issues such as monotonous AI voices?
Evidence

These AI explainers are taking over. I tried getting this working back in May. The models were okay but not quite there and it was a ton of effort. Opus 5.5 seems like the tipping point.
fact
Our cost per video is ~$0.04.
